When I rounded the booee (yes the correct one) for the stretch home a massive rain squall pelted down, I looked up to get my bearings and couldnt see 5m in front of me. I smiled wide and knew I was having a ball. At the 2km briefing (in the ballroom) we realised this was not the Shark Island swim and instead it was 2 laps around the 1km course. Phew! I am so far enjoying loving every swim. The people, punters and organisers are all so friendly. The Dawny Swim I have enjoyed the most, I think as it threw alot more at us as well as the view of Cockatoo as we swam around. The shark thought stowed away far back of mind. Learned the lesson you shouldn't just follow those in front, it was two red caps that I followed that way. "They must know where they're going," I thought.
