My right-side monolateral breathing worked a treat at Newcastle last weekend, where I enjoyed a lovely view of the coast - Fort Scratchley, Newcastle Ocean baths, the city etc - all the way. But not so good for swimming north in the Baths to Bar from Merewether to Bar Beach. I just went ahead as normal, breathing every 3 strokes and swallowing generous quantities of salt water.<br /><br />So I learned something by reading your post.
